I have never bought a refurbished anything before, but I needed an inexpensive GPS unit to guide my wife and me on a 4,000-mile summer vacation round the Midwest.

factory support is poor
the first unit had a defective suction cup, Amazon shipped a replacement quickly and with no hassle. The second unit worked for about 3 months over a 6 month period.
